Sandy Carlson-District Governor
Proud of you Sandy!

Want to learn a little bit more about Sandy?!

"I am originally from St. Paul, MN.  My mom and family are still there and I go back to visit a few times per year.  I moved to Kalispell in 1986.  I have 2 kids, Travis, 30, lives in Seattle.  Sara, 28 lives here in Kalispell.  I am the Account Manager/Blood Drive Coordinator for the American Red Cross.  I’ve been fortunate for the past 18 years to have a job that I still enjoy.  I am serving my second term with Kalispell City Council.  The learning curve for me is huge, however it is a fulfilling position and an honor to serve my community.
I joined the Kalispell Daybreak Rotary Club in the spring of 2003 and became an active member immediately.  I served on the board for 7 years and was chosen club president in 2014.  I have had the privilege to participate in numerous club projects as well as travel overseas to work with international projects.  On a month long trip to Nigeria, we opened 9 blood banks at various teaching hospitals.  More recently, I have been involved in the Global Coalition providing clean water to villages in Guatemala.  To me, this is the most rewarding Rotary experience I have had.  I hope to have many more.
Lastly, I am truly honored and humbled to be selected District 5390 Governor.  I look forward to visiting clubs across the state, (hopefully all in person).  If not, until that day arrives, we will make Zoom work for us.  My main goal under our current conditions, is to learn to adapt as we go.  We can do this together because Rotarians are people of action and we can thrive regardless of what lies ahead.
BY THE WAY,  in my spare time, golf is my passion!!  More like my therapy. 😊  If a club is having a fundraiser golf tournament, please count me in!!"
